The Chase Family Sugarhouse

The Sugarhouse or houses have also changed along the way. Starting from just plastic wrapped walls to be able to stay out of the elements, till finally building a complete small sugar house.

Through the years there were 3 additions added on until this sugar house was torn down after the 2017 maple season.

The old sugar house was torn down piece by piece and has been utilized in building many of our current pump houses, sales building, and tank roofs.

After the building was completely apart, dirt work was started and the slab was poured before winter. During winter all the pieces were cut to size inside of a car port on the slab once they were all ready, construction of the walls started in Jan. of 2018. Due to this, CFS missed the 2018 maple sugaring season. The sugarhouse was operational for the 2019 season, although we wont call it complete as we are continually working on it and currently we have 2 more additions planned.
